UHMW Fabrication 101
Advantages

- Not UV stable without additives, can degrade under sunlight
- Low melting point, limiting high-temperature applications
- Challenging to bond with adhesives and coatings
- High coefficient of thermal expansion, may warp with temperature changes
- Can swell in contact with hydrocarbons and chlorinated solvents
