On-Board Cooler Storage Solutions

Nobody goes boating without a cooler. That means smart on-board cooler storage is an appealing feature for every boat buyer. As a pioneer in on-board cooler storage, Teak Isle works hand-in-hand with boat builders to constantly develop innovative, customized solutions that maximize available space for hard, soft, and even electric coolers of all sizes and shapes.

Soft-sided Cooler Storage Solutions

Lightweight and versatile, soft-sided coolers have exploded in popularity over the last few years, and Teak Isle has developed a variety of inset storage units to get soft coolers off the deck and out of the sun while maintaining easy access.

Installed in a vertical wall, soft cooler units can either pull out on stainless steel drawer slides or tilt out on a piano hinge and can accommodate coolers of various shapes and sizes. Drawer-style units designed for low, wide coolers are ideal for pontoon furniture bases.

With soft cooler storage, boaters can load their cooler in the kitchen or garage, and easily carry them to the boat and stow them neatly on board.

Under-Leaning-Post Cooler Slides

For serious fishing, there’s no substitute for conventional hard-sided coolers. On center console boats, coolers are most often stored under the leaning post, which keeps them out of the way and partially shaded.

To fully open, though, coolers typically must be pulled out from under the leaning post.

Cooler slides make it easier to load and access coolers under the leaning post and can be designed to fit your choice of commercially available cooler

Teak Isle’s cooler slides allow the cooler to slide smoothly out from under the leaning post on non-marring, hidden wheels for easy access but lock it securely out of the way when not needed. That makes it easier to load and unload the cooler, creates more space for under-leaning-post tackle storage, and even allows the cooler to be used as an extra seat.

Slide-Out Storage for Electric Ice Boxes and Hard Coolers

With the introduction of Dometic’s new CFX3 line of 12-volt ice boxes, Teak Isle has developed a specific cooler slide and door combination to accommodate this cooler option.

The slide features non-marring wheels and an integrated receptacle for easy power connection.
